Quick Rx Battery Placement Question

I just got a Brison 2.4 with electronic ignition for my 80" WM Zero. My problem is the plane requires a lot of nose weight. Is it OK to mount the receiver battery pack close to the ignition module or must I place it at least 12" away? Will the ignition module exert some detrimental effects on the battery cells if placed nearby?

RE: Quick Rx Battery Placement Question

It is standard practice to keep the two 12 inches or more apart. If you pay special attention to ensure no electronic noise you can have them very close together. In my sukhoi, I have them about 2.5 inches apart.

RE: Quick Rx Battery Placement Question

You should be ok placing the battery pack just about anywhere you need to. What you have to watch out for is keeping the antenna and servo signal wires away from the ignition components.
