BME 110
Hi all.
I am looking for some info on the BME 110 Extreme engine. I am considering one for a X-treme composite 2,6m Edge540, but there are no resellers in Norway where I live, or in Europe that I know of. I see that BME recommend 87 octane gasoline, but in Norway 95 octane is the lowest we can get. Also I see that they recommend extra oil in the gas for the first 5 gallons. We have something called "environmentally friendly gasoline" which comes pre mixed 1:50, and it hardly smells at all. I think it might be called "Coleman fuel" in the US. Does anyone know if this fuel can be used on the BME? I know we use it on 3W's ZDZ and DA engines without any problems. If anyone can please give me some info it will be greatly appreciated Steinar |
RE: BME 110
That fuel should be fine if it will run well in other engines. I would never run coleman fuel because the octane is around 50, some do just not me.
50:1 ratio of good quality synthetic oil would also be ok for the BME. As for the 97 octane, I believe you use a different rating system over there so it is not that far off from our 87 and should work too. Keith said running higher octane on standard mufflers would only increases temps and gain nothing so that is why he recommends 87. |
RE: BME 110
Braeckman carries them over here in Germany. The Homepage is in german (but he speaks english) so here is the direct link:
