glow engine to gas conversion????

Does anyone know if there is still anybody making a conversion to convert glow engines to gas? Preferably for the Saito or OS four stroke engines but would also be interested in a conversion for the large two strokes.

Hi,
CH ignitions has kits for the SuperTiger 2000 to 3250 engines. Maybe for four strokes. The problem is lubrication of the con rod. Gas engines have needle bearing con rods's. You will have to use a high oil content and will suffer some loss of power. Cooling is also an issue since gas runs hotter.

Does anyone know if there is a conversion for the 3250 con rod to needle bearings available? Have a couple of 3250's converted to gas and would be great to be able to have a needle bearing con rod.
Thanks,
George

There's been many converted without changing the rod to needle bearings but you need to use 16:1 gas - oil ratio

A stock glow carb is sensitive to needle settings on gasoline.

Try www.lambertsrc.com , but be patient. I heard he had a medical problem to deal with and might be hard to get ahold of for a couple of weeks.
