Ignition switch for gasser - recommendations?

For a 50cc are there any special consideration to take regardig the switch? I know vibration is hard on things.

Are there any particular switches you would recommend?

I am using lipos and already have the regulator, so it just needs to be a standard switch. Or perhaps with some sort of fail safe, that will default to on if it breaks.

I just use the little miniature toggle switches from Radio Shack.
Never had one fail.

Do a search.....if you want to kill the engine from your Tx, RCCats (electronic) has one and so does Great Planes (servo)................;)

Use the same type switch you use for your Rx. It will be fine.

I will be using an Emcotec powerbox which has it's own switch for the reciver part. It has the failsafe that defaults to on, hence the question for the ignition switch.

Jbflyer > Did a google RCCats and got a Did you mean: RC Cars [&o]. Do you have a link?

H. Wayne S > Thanks for the reply on fuel tubing. 3/32" is actully medium in Dubro's terminology which got me confused.

I would use a MPI switch or any HD switch.
I don't know if I would want the switch to default in the on condition.

I say the same as the other posters. I use JR Gold for rec and ig.

Cermark makes a very good switch and has the charging jack in it. It can handle hi current (20 gage wire) and also is internally redundant. I am using 3 of them on my 40% bird.

Yeah same here. I really like these switches. It's a great HD switch for only $15.

If you look real, real hard, you'll find the Cermark switch to be superior to the JR switch. If you look (investigate) even further, you'll find out who makes a lot of the switches and extensions for the different companies. Then you'll wonder why Cermark is cheaper in price than the others.
