I am in no way being criticial here, but one would think the 2300 or else 3000 series would be a more popular choice for conversion-- something in the 1.20 size glow planes. Just a thought.

I am sure at some point that they will be in most countries. If you are interested you are more than welcome to buy direct. The .91 was chosen first because there is no other gas engine available in this class. The 2300 is also being converted.

I asked these questions earlier: When I can buy a converted G2300? price? Can I swap carbs and run it on glow fuel to get gas-like benefits in terms of throttle response and no deadstick? I am not sure what the mvvs turns but the S.T. 2000 runs much better than it did on glow. Ed Colman is the owner and he is on rcu but I cant seem to find him. I will see if he will reply on here in his own words.
As for the 2300 we are getting fixtures ready to start producing it so I dont have a price figure just yet. Keith |

Very exciting Keith, once again you are a inovating in the market with found items. Your 44 and 50 are great engines that I have experience with. The 90 seems like such a novel idea and I am anxious to find a reason to get one. The pattern plane from Mr. Blose would be top on my list. How does this engine react to a pipe? Not just for more power but transition and sound? Keep up the good work!

I havent tried one on a pipe yet but I cant see why it wouldnt work just fine or the same as if it were on running on glow fuel. Who makes good pipes for these small glow engines?

I know an MVVS/Evolution 26 will turn a 18x6 around 8700-9300 rpm on a tuned pipe. I'd really like to put this .90 in something, maybe modify a Perfection to be a 3D plane. I also like the sound of the 2300 converted. I almost bought a 2300 for my Wild Hare 120 Edge, but they're so variable in that some are good engines, some aren't.

Keith, the KS pipes are very good and I have owned and used the larger one. This one might go well on the 90,

I believe Dick Hanson works for Ed Skorpa and he makes carbon pipes for small pattern engines. The question of piping this engine might be better asked to an active pattern flyer like Todd Blose or his Dad. Joe |

LET'S UP THE ANTI A BIT. I HAVE BEEN FLYING A CONVERTED ST2500 FOR ABOUT SIX OR SEVEN MONTHS NOW. THE PERFORMANCE IS OUTSTANDING. I WOULD GUESS THE POWER IS UP ABOUT 20%. IT STARTS EASILY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS AN INVERTED MOUNT. SWINGING A 16X8 AT 9000. I HAVE FLOWN IT IN TWO DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT. FIRST WAS A HANGAR 9 PT-19. MOST FLIGHTS WERE AT HALF THROTTLE OR LESS, TO KEEP THE WINGS ON IT. SECOND AND PRESENT AIRCRAFT IS A TOP FLIGHT P-47. VERTICAL IS UNLIMITED, SPEED IS SCARY. RELIABILITY IS VERY HIGH, AND THAT IS A BIG PLUS FOR SUPER TIGRE USERS.

I do not work for Ed - we are friends and fly together on weekends at our park
Ed makes very good carbon fibre pipes -I have seen none which even approach the quality of his -and he does have excellent pattern pipes as well as pipes for other applications . I have a number of engines and planes - Ed has pipes he wants to evaluate first hand It works for us . BTW -Ed also has some terrific imported pattern designs -one with a 40 ZDZ piped weighs 10.25 lbs the performance and almost dead silent maneuvering is something you would have to see to believe. |

I thought I'd let you all know that I've been runnign the G90 in a .90 sized heli for two gallons now an am VERY impressed!
It may get a bit hot this summer so we'll see. The 2300 will be slated for my next .90 sized heli when it is released. Keith, you're going to get a firestorm from the heli community, so be prepared! We love gassers, and we've been waiting for these engines for a long time! Please think about getting larger head option soon! |

It sure would be nice to hear more from people who are running this engine. It seems expensive, but promising.
I want to run the 2300 on the Wild Hare edge 1.20. Does anyone have any comment on how this combination may work out. I'd like it to have enough power to hover and pull out. I think the .90 would work well on the Fliton extra 330 which has a sixty inch wing. Would this be a better power to weight combination than the wild hare 2300 combination. I know it'll fit in my honda accord better, but I think I can get both in it so this doesn't limit my choice. |

Just figure it weights with it's associated equipment what a normal glow 120 does less a bit of the fuel at takeoff or a bit more. The fliton is an excellent plane with the saito 100 and that is a very light engine, 20oz? Just an obervation. I am very excited to see the engine in ducted fans and helis as well as plankers.

I don't believe the prices are out of line. The ignition units alone aren't cheap to buy.
