Good Muffler for BME44?
Is there a muffler for the BME 44 that is fairly quiet? Before I get my BME44, I am wondering how effective the stock banjo muffler is and wonder whether it can be really used to for smoke in the future. I've seen it referred to as more of an exhaust "deflector" than a muffler. But I've honestly not heard it run.
The Peacemaker numbers I've seen posted (98db) don't seem that impressive, but I don't know how loud the stock banjo style is. Davis makes one. Who else? Any recommendations for flying quietly (in addition to a MSC or Mejzlik prop) Thanks for your time. |
Good Muffler for BME44?
i run the Brison 3.2 motors. I swapped to a peace keeper and its is quieter than the stock set-up. I am not sure how much more quieter as i just bought a used DB meter off this site so i could tell you in about a month. Anyway the peacekeeper gives it a more pleasant the ears sound than that stock straight pipe which really sounds like it doesn't have a muffler. You may have to look into cans if you don't like the DB numbers of the peacekeeper.
