Evolution 26GT layout
 

I need to know from which side of the engine does the Evolution 26GT draw fuel and on which side of the carb is the linkage?

Sad but true I don't have the money to buy an Evo right but the plane I'm building, a plans built Super Sportster 90/120 that is blown up 18% to an 84 inch WS, will use one. I was going to use a Zenoah G26 first but realized there wasn't room for it. Consequently I turned to the Evo engine and am trying to build as far as I can without the engine. I'll get as far as I can and then stop to build this other plane, another plans built bird (the old Headmaster 40 blown up 43% to a 7 foot WS. I've found that bigger birds fly better.

The fuel inlet is on the right side of the engine. Same side as the muffler/exhaust. The throttle connection is on the left side of the engine. They are both so close to the engine that you should not have any problem with the cowl or engine installation getting in the way. On the throttle linkage, release the spring tensioner and use a DuBro or other Ball link on the throttle lever and reduce the throttle servo travel at the Tx to about 45-50%. No other linkage is required if you just do this simple hook up.

Thanks, Jimnie for the info. I don't suppose you can tell me what size gas line you used? Small, medium or large?

Hey, this thing uses so little fuel you could probably get by with 1/2A sized lines. I used the medium size Dubro product. I still think we could find a better fuel line for gas engines if we looked. All of the "yellow" lines tend to get soft with exposure to gas and require that you wrap the ends with fine wire to prevent leaks after some use. Nothing critical here just use the one that fits the fuel inlet fitting snuggly.
