Beginner size ?

Hi,
I've been flying glow and trying to get into gas engines.
I need you guys' advice.

For glow, 40 size would be a good starter size.
But, I don't know for gas engine. I should pick the engine size and then the plane ?
I drive a small car (A4) so can not carry giant scale.
I think wingspan should be less than 80" and looking for aerobatic plane like Extra, Katana, Edge.
Can u recommend me a starter aerobatic plane and engine for it ?
Thanks !

Jake.

RE: Beginner size ?

I have a hangar 9 Extra 260, I think this plane with a 2.4 gas engine would be a good setup. I have a 3.2 on mine, and IMO for this plane it's way WAY overkill on power. The reason I went with this plane was because I wanted to get into gas, I wanted a 50cc gas engine, and I needed something small enough to fit in my jeep. I think it's the smallest plane you can put a 50cc on and the biggest plane I could fit in my jeep. The price is reasonable on the kit, the quality could be slightly* better, but the flight characteristics are unbeatable.. AWESOME flying plane. My setup is a little more for IMAC type flying than 3D.

Hope this helps.
