Will Your Gas Engine do This ????

Over 2000 flight miles logged, over 35 hours running time... Long full power climbs, 10 minute idle power decents, and never a deadstick :) Completely maintenance free, I have not had to touch the needles once set, and have never even had the plug out, it's start and forget :D

To see it in action check out the video in this link:

Incredible performance for a 400 dollar motor. Its a bit heavier than the DA-50, but unless you are flying competition, this kind of reliability and performance is well worth the few extra ounces. If you are looking for a reliable gas engine for your warbird, this cannot be beat at any price.

It's pretty neat having that view when you're flying remote, isn't it? I get to do most of my flying that way anymore. Excellent job with the video with an equally great selection of background music. Keep it up and someone will make a UAV pilot out of you yet.

What engine are you using?

Did I miss something?

Great Video!

That's great!!! Looks like fun. Only thing missing is the gps co-ordinates so you know exactly where to go in case you have to land a little early ;) Of course, that could have been what was blacked out...

Now that was pretty nice. Engine was a G-45 as stated on the video.

Could you please tell us what kind of gas engine you are using?

Thank you,

Very cool. I bet you need a car to do a range check.

The reliability factor is much more of an issue than just the weight. I will stack up the Zenoah against ANY of the lightweigts in COMPETITION, aerobatic competition, not only for warbirds only.:D

The common mistake is to try and compare a bare lightweight to a complete stock Zenoah. All-up weights are very similar when the correct mufflers etc are fitted to the Zenoah's. Compare Ralph's G-62's to ANY other 60cc class engines.

BTW - the video is awesome. Who said innovation was dead?

Safe Flying!

It's difficult to believe how small some of the engines are that fly 40 plus pound planes for extremely long durations and distances. And like JettPilot I have to concur that reliability beats the weight issue every time. A dead stick at the wrong place and time makes for a really long walk.

Very well done. I watched it 3 times in a row. Looks like a lot of fun. Was neat seeing the autos going down the road. Next vidio try to get some river or lake views in footage. What is the high gain antena for mentioned at end of vidio. Best Regards to you Both. Capt,n

Thanks for sharing - neat.
Could you elaborate on just how your safety spotter system works. Chase car with 2nd same channel radio? Now off to Google those goggles mentioned!

So who is flying, the guy or the young lady.
Either way, very impressive.

Now all you need is a bomb and you could be a terrorist.

IMO--Not the best idea to show them how to do it.

Wow, it never crossed my mind but Rcpilet, you're exactly right.

What a damned shame we have to worry about things like that.

Larry

PS I loved the video.

No worries about terrorisim. An RC plane is just to hard to build and setup for flight by remote video, and all to carry a bomb so small it would not damage anything [sm=confused.gif] Everyone seems to get all wrapped around the axle about this because this is new and exciting, but its not good for terrorisim. Terrorists use Trucks, that carry thousands of pounds of explosives, and that are easy to obtain and operate. So for anyone to paranoid about terrorisim, start to worry next time you see a truck driving down the road, or even a car, because those have always been the weapons of choice for terrorists

Its just not worth the time and effort for terrorists to build and fly an RC plane can not carry enough explosives to hurt anything [sm=lol.gif]
