Electronic ignition module placement ?
How critical is the placement of the EI module?...I realize that is should be kept away from radio & switch components, but is this something I can bury in a sealed fuse ~ with little to no access to it? I would like to place it on the inside of the firewall, but access to it would be limited at best. Also....is there any issues with the electronic ignition being close to the gas tank/lines?

RE: Electronic ignition module placement ?
I stuck my new 9-13volt system inside the fuse behind the fire wall where the tank is normally located in a QQ Yak 54 with no problems, for whatever its worth. Power is a 2100 3s lipo from "Cheep Battery Packs.com", runs out of juce after 4-5 flights of 15 minutes. If you have one, suggest a good 3ooo mah unit. ENJOY

I also mount my ignition units right behind the firewall. I use regular radio type wiring harness to supply the electrical power

RE: Electronic ignition module placement ?
was wondering if someone could tell me how far would you consider a safe distance from the E.I. to the receiver . also can I put a throttle servo near the E.I. I am trying to locate the fuel tank on the CG there should be a large area in front of the tank to locate receiver battery and a servo or 2 like my retract actuator and throttle servos any input would be helpful this is my first gas plane so working out the kinks
