evolution 45 gx2

currentlymounting the Evolution 45 gx2 in a QQ yak-85". using standoffs, the carb just clears the firewall by 1/4 inch. will this be enough breathing room, or should I cut a hole in the firewall ?

If there's room to open the choke, it will breathe ok.
