Possible CDI conversion

Have recently bought a tartan twin glow. I want to convert it to CDI. I have several CDI units for single cyl. Can I use one of them and parallel another high tension lead and drive two plugs? The CDIs are C-H and BCMA. Good luck, red

No you cannot parallel spark plugs. That is why they have two coils in a twin unit.
You could use two CDI units and drive them with one Hall affect device.

First you may want to check that the motor has roller bearings on the big end of the connecting rod, if it doesn't stick with glow fuel.

Tartans have needle bearings on both ends of the rod. Usual gas mix is not a problem. The carburetor will have to be changed to a gas carb. Otherwise the needle settings are very, very sensitive due to being enlarged passages for alcohol.

Thanks for the replys. I guess I forgot the law that says electricity takes the path of least resistance :o) Good luck, red
