Help installing a kill switch

Hi all,

I just finished building my first gasoline helicopter (Vario benzin trainer with a G23RC) and I had to pull the original kill switch (button) in order to install a stator gator sensor. I would really like to put one back on the model, but am not sure what I can get away with. It would be much easier to put a switch between the spark plug connector and the crank case, but everything I'm finding only references the magneto and the case. Is the voltage at the spark plug too high for a switch to work? Is there an easier solution? I can't be the first person to run into this problem.

Thoughts and / or suggestions are always appreciated!

Thanks!

RE: Help installing a kill switch

You can install a RCATS electronic Kill switch in your model which will allow you to turn your ignition on / off from your transmitter. Check their web page at [email protected]

I had a brain fart and gave you their e-mail address. Check them at RCATS Systems.

Ground the black wire coming from the source coil, the engine stops..That's why it's there...
There is no way to put a switch in the spark plug wire....
