Engine recomendation.
Hello, I just received the CMP 182 Skyline-140 ARF, and I have read many posts concerning different types of engines for this model. I would like to be advised about the recommended type of engine for this model( I'm planning to get a 2-stoke engine), which brand, propeller size( even if there is a 3-blade propeller), pitts(in-cowl) mufller, etc. Also, does any engine a bit below the manufacturesr size recommendation( which is for a 2-stoke 108-120), can be used too, like a for example a .91?
Thanks. |
RE: Engine recomendation.
Lots of options here. What are your goals with this model? Keep it inexpensive? Two stroke only? Scale Power?
There are lots of options that would fly this bird well, depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I would put a vote in for a 20-26cc gasoline engine, for scale flight, cheap tanks of gas....etc. |
RE: Engine recomendation.
What size engine range does the manufacturer call for??, If you want to go 2 stroke, try a OS 91 or a OS 1.20, both engines are the same size. one with more power that the other.
Howdy, Aerobatx...glad to see another person from the corn country her, my other half is from the Iowa City area and lived in Amana. NEDYOB |

Well, the manufacturer calls for a 2 stroke 108-120 range engines, and for 4 stroke 120-140 engines.I'm planing on 2 stroke engine. What about the propeller, I read on Top-Flite web site, according to some propeller chart guide, that propellers can range fron some 11x4 to 16x8.Which one are you using?
