Fuel Fill Setup - Advice

I am setting up my first gasser (Zen G26ei) and have a question about fuel fill setups. For many years I have always used a 3 line setup for my glow engines (a Fuel Dot was used for the fill line). I like this setup and would prefer to use it ..... but I am not sure if there may be carb/engine flooding problems with gas engines.
With the glow engines, with the carb closed, the carb never flooded when filling. Would the carb on a gasser be prone to flooding (when fueling) if it is just closed ? .... Do I need a fueler valve to cut off/close the line to the carb when filling ?

Thanks again. Bob

I use a 2 line system with a T in line to engine, Gas carbs will not let fuel in untill the pump is working and engines calls for it.

Milton is right, but I like the three line system. I just had a engine quit on take off with a two line system, the fill line cap backed off a little an allowed the engine to suck air. I just got a 260 Extra from TBM it was plumbed with a two line system, after the deadstick I replumbed it with a three line system. Both ways work, but I'm a three liner only now.

RE: Fuel Fill Setup - Advice

In a three line system, the carb pump has such good fuel draw, that it collapses the tank when you run the engine with the vent line plugged.
There should be NO SIDE BRANCHES in that suction line, in order to prevent air drawn in, or debris entering between tank filter and internal carb filter.
The internal carb filter is there as a last safety net. If it collects debris, it is a warning for the user he is doing something wrong.
