MT50cc ?
I saw a classified for this engine and it says Ralph Cunningham is handling warranty claims.Anyone know anything of this motor? It will be interesting to see what Ralph's take is on this motor.

RE: MT50cc ?
Ralph probably won't be posting on here....but why not call him?

RE: MT50cc ?
That's what I thought.I'm guessing if Ralph's name is attached to this motor it has to have some redeeming qualities....

RE: MT50cc ?
I got one on order after seeing it run. It's one of Tommy's motors from China. I saw Larry test running a prototype, it looks like a good motor. When mine comes in I'll report on it, it's going in a 82 inch Extra 330 that Gerhart was blowing out. Did you ever own a pink and purple airplane[:'(] but for the price I had to jump on it.

RE: MT50cc ?
I take offense to anyone who would question my credibility when I say I have contracted Ralph to do my warranty work for me on the MT50cc Bully engine. I would have to be real stupid to make such a statement if it were not true. Moderators were are you!!!???
This is a FLAME as far as I am concerned, and I would like for one of you moderators to call Ralph [if you dare] to confirm that this statement is true, and take action against the person who claims there is something "fishy" about the statement I made in my ad. The reason I have contracted Ralph to do any warranty work for LS PRO ENGINES on the MT line is to add to the quality of the engines to have a person of Ralph's reputation to correct any issues that would arise with any of the engines from Tomy R/C Engines, and make our customers feel they are in good hands should they be in need of service. Enough said!!!! LARRY LS PRO ENGINES AIRBORN RANGER |
RE: MT50cc ?
No problem here....since 'fishy' bothers you, I have edited the post above. I know Ralph, and I know he's done warranty work for various other manufacturer's of engines, no need for me to mention them here. A link to your 'ad' was not posted here, nor have I seen it. I simply suggested a phone call to Ralph if the person that started this thread was questioning the credibility....any problem with that? And since some of us who have worked with Ralph quite a bit hadn't heard of this venture, we might have thought it to sound 'fishy' until confirmed....big deal. You were entirely right about the credibility factor when you have someone like Ralph stand behind em. Ralph is highly admired around here, so if he is standing behind your product, and servicing warranty items, you will definitely touch a quality minded customer base. Good luck and keep us posted on this.

RE: MT50cc ?
Ralph is a friend of mine and we speak almost on a daily basis. He has done work for me in the past and his credibility is beyond reproach. He is one fine gentleman and this forum is lacking since he left it. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these sometimes finekie engines. I hope he does more crash repairs to our engines then warranty issues. I sent Ralph computer program
generated photos of our new engines and he was impressed. Except for the MT62 none of them are copies and are designed from the ground up. This line of engines is going to give all the competition a run for there money. Quality engines, good supports and at a fair price. Larry, LS PRO ENGINES AIRBORN RANGER |
RE: MT50cc ?
Hi Larry,
Do you have a header available or know of a header flange that is the same dimensions that a person could use on the MT 50. Thanks Jack |
RE: MT50cc ?
The port size is the same as a G62 but the center to center on bolt holes is 1/16" closer togetther, Would take very minor adjustment to make G62 parts work.

Below is a picture of a G62 header with a mt50 gasket, you can see the difference.

Thanks Milton;)

RE: MT50cc ?
When I put a DA header on my MT62(G62), I think I had to get a little wider spacing, So a DA50 header my be a direct bolt on, if not very slight adjustment needed.

Thanks, Mark |

ORIGINAL: Milton ORIGINAL: soarrich I said header, not muffler.;) Milton My point was you can drill larger holes or elongate the holes in a header flange, you can't do that with a muffler, so headers are easily made to fit.;) Rich |
RE: MT50cc ?
mmattockx , What kind of info are you looking for??? I posted all the technicle spec's on the ad. I have not posted the new engine on my website as of yet. Not enough hours in a day with answering questions and getting engines ready for sale. Let me know if I can be of any help.

blw: If it is ok to state ones opinion...here is mine. You could be a lot more nicer towards Ralph Cunningham. Seems like you closed his posting down to much...leading to him being off hear entirely. Ralph did not violate the rules any more than some others still on here. Just my opinion. I wish you would haved weighed the many good things he posted for years and just left him alone. Capt,n

RE: MT50cc ?
I have am just starting 3rd year of flying and spend probabaly 5-8+ hrs a week on RCU soaking up information as fast as I can... yes I am addicted hardcore.
I also spend 5-10 hrs a week practicing my flying on the Sim and am our club VP / club trainer. I am often asked to do maidians on everything from .40 sized planes to 35% planes. Usually if someone wants to see what their plane can do I am 1 out of 4 in a club of 170 members that will be asked. As far as engine knowledge I have experience with 3W50, 3W70, 3W85B2, Brison 3.2, ZDZ-80 RV and RV-J, Brillelli 26, 46, and 60cc. and have played with BME 102 and the 50. Building expierence, I am very anal one would say.. I have digital incidence and throw meters now to make sure everything is as perfect as possible. I have built several foamies, a couple .40 / .60 and 7 or 8 GS. Thats your words Jake. MY words= Kinda looks like Jake has only 3 years of experience and probably is a good flyer. But so is my Grandson a good flyer, he did not need any buddy cord or I never had to touch his TX and he landed the first time out 3 times in a row without killing the engine with a sig 4 star .40. What I am proud the most about my Grandson is he respects his senior RC friends and all people Something all of need to do more. Capt,n |

I don't think I ever closed down any threads because of him. I may have edited a post or two, but I don't remember that either. If so, it wasn't anything major and probably along the lines of my own posts that have been edited or deleted in the past by other moderators. I'm not sure why you felt you had to take a shot at me here. I suspect there is a lot of misinformation going around about some things. When this subject comes up, I always point out that I don't discuss other members with anyone. So, if things are being said about whatever was supposedly said or done, I'm at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to setting things straight. For the record- I tried to be nice to him. I went out of my way. I know that other people did the same. |
RE: MT50cc ?
yep they were my words sometime last yr... back to the MT-50 before the thread gets deleted.
