What is a good prop choice for a Sachs 5.2?
Tried a 24x10 was at 7400 rpms. What will a 24x12 do???? A 26x10 spins 6200 but I don't have much clearance. |
Hey schmacka!!
I would try the 26 X 10 if possible on a big bipe and hope I didn't need the clearance ;)
And BTW, that is a really nice plane!! I see your club is in Lake Dallas...man I go to Lake Dallas all the time..where is the field located?? I have a buddy who lives on the lake, right near where Main Street goes into the boat launch/park by the old Lake Dallas dam. I always wanted to check out some flying sites when I'm down there. |
What Prop Size?
Our Field is located in Westlake Park at the end of Main Street.
Grass runway. no bells and whistles just an great place to fly. |
HHHhhhmmm...
Is that where I'm talking about?? Got a toll booth to go thru? I've never seen any planes...
|
What Prop Size?
Yep Thats it, Go through the tool booth and follow that road straight, it will curve to the right about 1/2 mile and the field is on the left just before the dead end.

Shoot me an E-Mail
I'll try to check you guys out...I see where a guest can fly 3 times a year..that might work out!
