Resistor Wire and Resistor Plugs.
 
I was told that if you run a resistor plug in our little engines you must use a copper wire hi tension ignition cable.
And if you have the carbon centered ignition cable you must use a a non resistor plug .
Is this correct? Resistor wire and resistor plug in the same line is bad??

Well in autos if you have resister wire you don't run resister plugs it's one or the other don't see why these would be different they have even less voltage don't need to dam it twice

Actually all of my GM cars (Mostly Chevy) since 1968 have had both resister wires and plugs from the factory. Can't speak for any other brand of auto manufacturer.

keep in mind I was told that 30 years ago times a change
One thing I think is still current that is resister plugs can cause a misfire if the resister breaks down even though it may look good when you check the spark that can cause hours of hair pulling when there's no obvious reason for it

Resistor core wire with a rubber spark plug cap and a resistor plus is the correct combo.
Wire lead with shielded metal cap and resistor spark plug is also correct. But for the engines that use the CM-6 plug, full shielding and metal cap is needed because the CM-6 is NOT resistor..
