RE: throttle and ailerons
<g> No wonder they were so cheap!! My wifes family is in Michigan. Seems like they wait until its 10 below, out in the woods, and one of them dies, to work on them. My hands dont work in that environment. They just take off their gloves tinker with whatever then go on. I am NOT a cold weather outside person. Give me a bonfire, a stump to sit on and hotdogs and I'll be content.
I use foam under the ignition also. Way too much vibration to chance it. Edwin |
RE: throttle and ailerons
I do the same thing....i use the RV-type rubberized one-sided sticky foam stuff to isolate the vibes, and velcro to keep it in place.

ORIGINAL: hutchi Ok I did see lot's of vibration on the ign box will fix that an try again, I did the unplug servo methed but still the same. I'm leaning towards the ignition Has your cowl or any other parts rubbed through the shielding on either of your plug cables. This is a prime source for ignition noise. Also, the plug caps push onto the plugs very hard at times. Many people don't get them seated all the way on the plugs and this also causes problems. Just two things to double check. Many times I have showed guys at the field that their plug cap was not seated all the way when they thought it was. |
RE: throttle and ailerons
Yes I did find some shielding opened up, I'll borrow 1 tomorrow an hope this is it. Thanks to all for your help hutchi
