will this plane and engine work out?

http://www.nitroplanes.com/ni20moya1206.html and a CRRP PRO26cc or a XYZ 26cc or will it be to nose heavy?

If you can get it in with an AUW of 9-10 as advertised, with your 26cc engine of choice, it would be a decent aerobatic plane. For really good IMAC, you'll want an engine that can spin a very good wood or carbon 18x6 at 9000rpm, with 10lbs being the max AUW. For very good 3D performance, same prop/rpm but lose some weight.

I've seen them fly with a 26cc, nice combo. 3D is iffy.

I agree....

I played with a Funtana X100....lightened G26, EI, mejzlik 18x6 prop, just over 9000rpm, AUW 10lbs. It would do anything, but without the added punch during pullouts doing 3d. It would come out, but unless you knew what you were doing, and could afford the slower response in those tense moments, I wouldn't recommend it. For kicks, I put in a smaller, lighter battery, along with a tank carrying half the fuel, no wheelpants, very small wheels....etc, just for all out 3D. I lost almost a pound over all when fueled and RTF, and performance was increased significantly for 3D. If he could get this one in at around 9lbs or slightly over, with a tank capable of offering a 10-12 min flight, and a nice light battery, perhaps an A123...he could get there.

What about this plane with one of those engines? It says its built for a gasser and will hold the 26cc.

What we're saying is that it will work. I offered references to similar setups for you to compare and use as a tool for what you might expect out of the combo regarding performance, if your engine of choice spins similar props accordingly.
