mystery engine

Does anyone recognize this engine? I bought it at a hobby swap meet yesterday. The person that I bought it from bought it off e-bay in 2001 from a persom in Arizona. It was described as a 4.4 and was in kit form. Rough measurments (I have not assembled it to get accurate measurments) looks more like a very over square 100cc. The e-bay add said they were used in racing aircraft.

Thanks
Mark

Heres a pic of the front of my Husqvarna converted 61cc.
Youll notice the number 48 on the left and the word Mahle on the right.
A LOT of chainsaw manufacturers use Mahle cylinders.
Now on to the numbers.Your number 52 on the left side means the cylinder bore is 52mm.[52mm piston].Using my stroke and math,heres what i came up with.
Bore divided by 2 =26mm
26mmx26mmx3.14[pie]=2122.64x[stroke34mm] =7216.976.
This means this engine is a 72cc actual.If your stroke is 34mm.If its longer your ccs will be a little higher.
The most common engines that i have seen converted are sachs-dolmar.
My Husky case halves bolts come from the rear,not the front like yours.I would say your engine is a sachs based 72cc.

The crank and cylinder are husky. I was hoping someone might recognize the case which is a custom piece. I would like to know who made it.

If you look carefully it appears that the cas is a cut down saw case, neatly done but still a cut down. The motor mount is the custom part.
If its from AZ and was involved in racing, I would say Ralph at RC Ignition was involved in some way. If he didn't do it, he knows who did.
