RE: 3w 106cs midrange issues
I have a 3W106 on my Hagar 9 Extra 260 and when I chop the throttle and put it into a dive the the engine dies when I level it out. The tank is mounted high on this plane. There are two lines coming out one for the fuel and one for the vent. Do you think that it could be flooding the engine during a dive? I have the aluminum reed block installed (CNC'd version).

RE: 3w 106cs midrange issues
I have a DLE 111 in a box with bolt on mufflers, I wonder if that should be my option? If anyone is interested in a 3W 106 that has cannisters and a 28X10 Mezlik carbon prop, I will let it go. I think I will go with the DLE. My buddy has one and it has ran flawless out of the box for almost a year now. I am submitting a add on rc universe, ebay and craigs list. I am asking 800.00 for all of it, cannisters, prop and engine. Free shipping U.S.A. only.

Kind of curious to see if the original poster resolved his issues.

RE: 3w 106cs midrange issues
I still haven't resolved the issues with the engine. Now I run it right on the edge of lean on the top end and lean on the bottom end to the point that it's a little harder to start. It still stumbles in the midrange but the throttle response from the bottom to top end is gradually getting better. I have close to twenty gallons through it now and it still gradually changes tune like it's breaking in. I plan on messing around with it quite a bit this winter when the snow flys. I want to spend more time messing around with header length.
