I don't believe there are very many gaps in power plant sizes beginning with CO2 motors and Cox .010ci through 36 cylinder turbo charged WWII engines. Where Satio and OS leave off, 3W takes over. Where 3W ends, Rotax fills in... and on it goes. There may be some thin spots in the power plant size-line but I'd guess there are very few if any gaps.

3W's largest... http://www.3w-modellmotoren.com/engl...r404.html~main

Rotax's smallest... http://www.rotax.com/en/Engine/2004/...ine.Models.htm

wow - that is a big motor.

I looked through their engines and 3W has one for ~9k (eur) that has enough HP to probably fly a small plane with a person in it....

Do a little googling on the Cri-Cri you'll find some very interesting twin engine home builts, if you want to see what appear very similar to our hobby engines flying a small manned craft. These certainly aren't all that large, but thought you might enjoy.

A Ford V-6 comes to mind for some rpv stuff.

Hi Bill,
The largest number of cylinders I could think off was in the P&W R4360 radial . This had 28 cylinders.

Do you have a link for the 36 cylinder engine ? The reason I ask is that I have been compiling various documents on operational WW II aircraft engines and it would be good to add some more info.

All the best

Colin

I've seen the 250cc run, and it is really nice. Nice gas 4 strokes.
