I have a gas engine that I believe is a Quadra 42, but not sure. It has two rings. Dont know much more about it.
Thanks, Denny

I have 3 quadra 35s,a 42,and a 55 and they dont look like that.
It is either larger than a 55cc wich they have the carb positioned like that or its a Roper saw motor.
Or its a different year than my Quadras.

Thanks for the help guys, I just saw there is a number scribed on the crankcase, 7656 , could 76 be the year of manufacture? What is the black button just ahead of the spark plug for?
Thanks, Denny

Compression release... push it down, start the motor and compression pops the release back up.

Cheers, Dave.

Those cases that were round on the back (with hole) were special, made for RC cases. Most of these engines had a spring starter in that rear housing. These were very long lived engines, had good power and are well mannered. Only thing I can say bad about them is that they shake a bit but not excessive by any means. These seem quite happy on 24-10 props. My guess is that engine is a 75 as there seemed to be far more 75s out there than 65s. These make great warbird engines.
