I haven't had any personal experience with them, specifically, but I can tell you that noone can make that decision foryou. If you have a plane large enough for that size, then it should only be a matter of what you want to power it with, not what it costs. I will see three grand plus leave my wallet when it's time to purchase the engine for the 30%er! I will search for feedback and reviews for the one you spoke of, but it really all boils down to: What do you want to power the bird with? Verticle cylinder... twin, maybe four cylinder... opposed or verticle jugs... radial... ducted fan... the options are at your discretion. Worth is a relative term. Thingsare really only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Keep your head up on a swivel.

Not much available regarding performance and internals for the 150 yet. Realistically much that you have to go will be information sourced from dealers. The price is right but is that all that concerns you?

Yeah. So true guys. I have WH 40% Extra 300, and im looking for engine to power it. Im lookig for 150-170cc range engine to power it. Actually there is no big difference on price between DA-150 and RCGF-150. RCGF is 1100$ on Ebay and DA-150 is around 1400$ on US dealers.

There are a few DA 150's listed in the classified sections of various forums. With a little searching you could obtain a very nice 150 for about $1,000.00 U.S. If you want light and very close to equal power then a BME 150 might be the ticket. The BME costs more than a used DA though. What's nice about the DA is that it seems they continue to support their engines even after one changes ownership. I would avoid just about anything sold on E-Bay. Too much room to get screwed, and the possibility of something being a stolen item is higher than it should be. In any case, get the serial number of a DA and check it's update history. The 150's had a front hub update early on.

If you are looking for more that "150" power then it is not the engine for you to choose. (You mention you are looking for a 150 - 170)
Performance is very similar to a DA 150 - but less than a DA 170.
I have been flying one for just on a year now (Yes, I am a dealer). It is a fine engine for a 150 and it holds it own against the common brands of 150's out there but I haven't found it to be a match for a 170 of any brand.

Looks like the DA would be the logical choice. 3 year warranty to boot.
