Gas setup help please

I was wondering if there was an existing thread where there is information on setting up a gas engine on a plane for a first timer?

Start with the sticky at the top ofthe gas enginepage done by Bob Pastorello, lots of great info there for those just starting in gas.

From there you have selections in the dozens covering the subject. Just use 'first time gasser" for the search.

Thanks...lots of great reading there.

Seems like I found everything I need with the exception of a diagram or description of how to convert the standard Walbro goober throttle linkage over to something that connects with a ball link. Anyone have any advice on what to use?

The troy built arm is a great option. I made mine before I bothered looking. Used a 3/16" wheel collar and soldered some 1/16" cut brass to it that was trimed like the arm. $10 is worth it.

I like using the aluminum blue anodized servo arms from hitec. I get them free with their metal gear servos. Just drill a hole in it and bolt it to the existing arm. Then I put a 2-56 ball end on it. I grind the servo spline hub flat on mine. I also use one on the servo unmodified.
