U.S.E. Engine - Ever hear of it?

So my neighbor comes over one day with an R/C gas engine and says, " Do you want it? It's free!!!" Of course I said yes :D. He took it from his boss who's father-in-law was into RC planes, and who has since passed. I don't know what size it is, or what it came off of but its pretty big. There is a mfg. plate on it that says USE engines made up in NY state somewhere, I think Albany. Has anyone ever heard of USE engines? A quick search came up for a lot of 'used' engines, but not USE engines. Thanks for any help! Pat

There is also a US35 and it looks just like the 41.

Somewhere along the way there was a 25

They are closely related to the quadras

zippi,

It's pretty close, didn't even think of US engines. I was so caught up with the US"E" that it didnt dawn on me that it might be US Engines. Attached is a pic. Here is what the data plate says: USE Engines, Syracuse, NY model # 357951 S/N 004916.

Appears to be a US41 ( or 35). A little low on power, but a dependable plodder......Usually ran an 18/10 on mine...

Well it looks like the mfg. is US from the replies I'm getting. I will try and contact them and give them the model number, they should be able to tell me what it is from that. I would also like to get the manual. I actually do have a Dynaflite Decathalon ( in the box and in stick form still) that this could probably go in...I love it when a plan comes together. Thanks for all the help guys!

US Engines has been out of business for about 5 years.
Parts from the Quadra 35/41 will fit no problem.

That stinks about them being out of business. Now I'm wondering if anyone has a manual for a US35?
