g38 or dl30?
 

i have a kmp Katana 2m freestyle and need help deciding what engine to use. i already own the g38 it has the magneto still but i am curious to see if the newer dl30 would be a better option.

If you are a figure eight guy, the G-38 would suffice because you already have it?

the dl-30 is 8cc less than the g38 right so would it be less power?

There are two different era's of G38's.

The newer design DLE engines are smaller and lighter and have close to the same power as the newer of the G-38's

I own both engines. TheG38 is heavy and may be good in a airplane that needs nose weight. So it depends on what kind of airplanes you intend to fly. The DLE30 has more power, but wait on that one...there may be a upgrade on it. I would read all you can about these engines first & then decide.
