DL-100 throttle down issue

Hey guys,

When I throttle down the RPM drops around 2500 and lingers for a while before goes down to idle, makes landing more challenging. Any thoughts, recommendations?

I think that your low end may be a tad too rich....there is fine balance and takes some patience to get it right.

Low needle likely too lean.

Low needle is definitely to lean.

Thanks for the reply guys, but the problem is that the engine is 4stroking anything below 1/3 throttle as it is, any richer on the bottom makes it worst, It sounds awful.

Yep.

Is you throttle linear?

If not, it's possible the highend is too rich, and the low end is to lean.

Get the engine warmed up and hold wide open and adjust for top rpm (turning Hi needle in) and then richen the setting just to the point where RPM,s drop a little...verry little. Then go back and set the Idle mixture for smooth running but not so lean it stumbles on throttle up. See what that does. Capt,n;)
