CCRC-Pro 26cc Sensor screw size?
 

Anyone know what size screw will fit the ccrc-pro gf26v2 engine? i have lost the sensor mount screws![&o]

Usually 3mm.

I just recieved a newer 26R model and the sensor was held in with wood screws, not machine screws. They were gored into the aluminum case from the factory. Bought a replacement sensor and it came with machine screws? Also found the sensor on mine was too far from the magnet to produce a spark from the factory.

I have two GP26R engines and sensor housing comes with same screws as GF26I or V2 (M2.5x6 mm). The sensor is about 2mm close to the magnet , and does not have any problem.
I've only tested one of them , and runs better than GF26I. This weekend i will test the second one .

The one I was sent to test won't idle below about 2200 and vibrates pretty bad, top end is the same as the V-2.

Mine must have been built on a friday. The screws that my ignition sensor were small wood scews, not machine screws! They must have ran out of the right fasteners, and well used what they had on hand. It would start by hand O.K. but would not reliably idle below 2800 rpm. My top end with a 18x6 wood prop was only 5700. I think the engine had too litttle compression and had some manufacturing defects so I sent mine back. I agree with jody as well, this engine vibrates something terrible when it idles down.

For what it's worth I replaced the 3mm screws that are stripped or missing. What I did was remove the front bearing and retap the screw holes to 4-40 then I used the screws from EZ connectors they are the right size. (You will need them to keep the front bearing from spinning in the case)

If the case is too loose to keep the bearing from spinning, 2 little 4-40s won't do it...Use some Loctite 680 stud and bearing mount...Amd if the crank is not perfect the Loctite won't help much either...
