3W80Xi Help needed.

OK, I have a 3W80XI, This is the problem i have, The engine will start OK and runs fines (power up with no problems) until i have to go to idle. coming down slow seems to be OK but if i come down fast it will sit at about 3700 for 10 to 20 sec then come down.

Idle is set at about 1700 and the top end is at 6600, I'm turning a 26X10 Xaor prop.

anyone have this type of problem before.

Do a little search at rcu, it is a known problem with this engine, an early production of this engine had the two magnet spaced wrong, if I'm not mistaken the two magnet for the ignition pick up, should be spaced 16mm apart from each other. I maybe wrong.
