The WIPRO Bloomington race weekend is 4 weeks away - September 24th and 25th. We will be running 424, 426 and EF1 (if we have enough pre-registered and we should) both days. They are two one day races for all classes. After a great CAPS race in Muncie last weekend things have tightened up in the battle for the 424 Lead Goose Trophy and the inaugural 426 Cauldron Trophy. The trophies are based on your best six races in NMPRA District 5 and include the NATS. To check the standings and see the trophies go to q500424.com or from the NMPRA site under “events” pick “supporting clubs” then “Wisconsin Illinois Pylon Racing”. Bernie Vanderliest keeps the site and the Dist. 5 points up to date.

If you are planning on making it to Bloomington please sign up for the race on the WIPRO web site. Our club runs the food and drinks so we need an accurate head count. I would also like to get the matrix entered before Saturday so we can get a good early start.

We do have room for tents and campers with limited electric. If you are wanting a Hotel that info is below and its about 5 minutes from the field.

Rooms are under SIRS RC or WIPRO and are $55 a night for 1 queen or 2 queen beds. I have rooms blocked off but, do not what for the last minute to make reservation.

Thanks to Jay and all the SIRS members for putting on a great race.  Also thanks to the helpers that came out to stare at planes flying around sticks so we could have a couple days of great fun.  Look forward to going back next year.

Congratulations to Darwin Larson for winning the season points in 424, and to Moe Vereecke in 426. Both of you are tops in your class. Jay as I offered to you before I left if you get into town friday night there is a cold beer waiting for you at my house. Give me a call when you get in town. Here is a video that I put together and sent to the racers that were there on Saturday. That was the day that the pictures were taken. I still have some to send out. The CD’s have music to go with them.
