Here are some of the local hotels and the approximate rates for 2 adults from Priceline. The first 2 we have used quite a bit for the Team Trials and district events, but some have asked for some higher end places so the last 2 are for you! The Hilton is by a very large outdoor mall and is famous for wedding parties. The Hampton is right outside the Lakeland airport. Both are pretty new and highly rated in the reviews.
Imperial Swan Hotel & Suites ($89)
4141 S Florida Ave
Lakeland, Fl. 33813
(863)647-3000
Holiday Inn Express & Suites ($140)
1565 N. Broadway
Bartow, Fl. 33830
(877)859-5095
Stay Inn - Bartow ($69)
1035 N. Broadway
Bartow, Fl. 33830
(863)533-0711
Hilton Garden Inn ($92)
3839 Don Emerson Dr
Lakeland, Fl. 33811
(863)647-0066
Hampton Inn & Suites ($84)
3630 Lakeside Village Blvd.
Lakeland, Fl. 33803
(863)603-7600
Courtyard Marriott ($87)
3725 Harden Blvd
Lakeland, Florida 33803
(859) 499-0001
These are the rates I got from Priceline.com, so of course the earlier you book the better the prices. Lakeland is a city of 200,000 plus, so there are tons of hotel options. The ones I listed here are on the south side and closer to the field.

OK guys, it’s time to get ready to race again! This is the 11th annual fall event for us, and we would like it to be a huge success! Friday practice is open to all classes, and will be a great day to work on your set-up and get some much needed practice in prior to the event. Saturday will be 424 and 426 running the AMA short course and Sunday will be 422 & 424 on the AMA long course.
Ritch's brew is the fuel for SEMPRA, and will be provided for all the classes. Practice fuel will be available for purchase on Friday, if you need it. Please let me know so that I will plan to have enough for everyone who needs it. All current national rules will be used, with the addition of the SEMPRA 17K maximum RPM rule for 424. 3 person teams maximum and 3 lanes for each heat. We will alternate classes all day long, with a minimum of 5 heats per class (more if time permits!). Registration ends at 8:30AM each day, and first heats will begin at around 9AM. Open practice each day will begin AFTER awards presentation and the course layout is changed for the next day. There will be 4 plaques for each class each day given out, so come on down and claim your wood!
Let’s get your information in now so that I can get your information into the computer for the classes you will fly in.
