RE: Power switch

The only one I completely trust is the JR Heavy Duty Deluxe Gold switch.

About $15

Just in general, do you leave it hanging in the wind?

RE: Power switch

Normally it is mounted inside, perpendicular to the fuse. I like to mount them to the servo tray. A small hole is drilled through the fuse side and the switch itself. A short piece of wire (a paper clip works nicely) is pushed through the fuse side and into the hole in the switch. I like to pull to turn on, and push in to shut off, but others do it their way. Another way is to use something like fly fishing line with holes on either side of the fuse. Pull one side to turn on, pull the other to turn off. Leave about 3" hang out either side if you do this. I also like to soak the ends with a little thin CA.

The 'fishing line" solution is showing up more and more in racing airplanes. Use one of the braided 'superlines' like Spiderwire or PowerPro.
