Goldwing 30cc Sbach
Just finishing up a Goldwing 30cc Sbach from Milehighrc.
Instructions are minimal, states cg is 4 7/8" from leading edge
at fuse. Anyone built one and if so what was your cg?
Thanks

RE: Goldwing 30cc Sbach
Hi Jerry
How do you like the Kit. I am thinking of getting the same models. Saw the video on Mile hHigh web sight and it looks like it flies light and responsive at low speed.

RE: Goldwing 30cc Sbach
I'm working on mine now and it seems like it's going to be a great plane. The instructions suck but luckily there really isn't a whole bunch to do besides glue the control surfaces in and install servos. I did fumble on the control horns on my ailerons. What engine are you going to run?

RE: Goldwing 30cc Sbach
The ARF has it's problems like any other, mine had the firewall in upside down.
Not noticiing this at first I use the scribed thrust lines to mount my engine, didn't
work too well, had to fill in the holes and figure out the right lines, finally got it
right. Most of the construction is good, covering good, no real complaints.
Using a DLE 30, Power HD 090 servos (except for rudder).
Right now trying to get the balance right, crappy instructions show balance at
4 7/8 inches, which puts it right at the front of the wing tube. Seems that all the
other Sbachs of this size balance further back than this.
Using a 1600 nimh on ignition and 2000 nimh on radio.
Not weighted it yet, waiting to set balance first.
