I guess when your buying multiples they are more diligent about precision. ALL of the factory wing flying wire reliefs were pointed in the wrong direction on mine and required extensive re-relieving to line up with the bulkhead anchors.

I built over 15x CARF Gee Bee´s over the last years, I NEVER had that problem.

So please upload a few pics, to show us your problem - thanks.

Hannes

Seven years ago we lost our radial powered R2, because of a pilot error:

Hi Hannes What error is it? Because on the video one has the impression that a control servo has become out of order. Did he go all at once?

Agree with the last post. Looked like a battery or system failure. I doubt going into a roll would cause you to be unable to recover unless something else was amiss.

Side note request:

I am looking for the plastic cockpit tub for a Byron Gee Bee. If anyone has one they might be willing to sell or a contact for an aftermarket reproduction, please let me know.

[email protected]

Thanks!

Tom

The FIT of dummy, to Kolm, to cowl, simply doesn't get any better than that.

The split wheelpant and wire hatches are so cool and functional. Makes me want to build another one incorporating all your changes. Nice alignment on the prop hub with the dummy.
Did the split pants allow you to permanently glue the rears together? And are you using screws to lock the hatch?

Took it out to Maiden last sat. and had engine issues. Fired on choke but wouldn't stay running. Pretty sure it's a gummed up carb from sitting. I'll try again as as soon as I get the rebuild kit(maybe this weekend).
