RE: DA 100 or 120?
I got the engine installed. Had to relocate receivers, regulators, and batteries due the weight difference. The COG is .75'' behind the recommended point. So it balances at the forward edge of the wing tube. That is close as I can get it without added weight. Should be close enough to fly it and see how it acts.
My estimate of 27lbs, with the old engine must have been wrong. AUW is 31.7 lbs with the DA 120.[X(]
I got a Biela 27 x 12 and a Mejzlik 29x10 to try.
I added ducts to the cowl with balsa and fiberglass, should help cooling.

Wow. You must have been up around 34Lbs prior to installing the 120.

The 120 is lighter and produces more power, I would go for the 120 hands down. Hmmm, that would make a great 40% Carden Edge 540 power plant now that I think about it...

RE: DA 100 or 120?
I've owned DA 100 and 3W 106 CS and both engines cannot even come close to running these big props you guys are experimenting with DA 120. That should settle any question about how much sick power the original poster is looking for. You guys are making me drool... Crap, now I need to go out and get a DA 120 to get my own stump puller
