Here's a couple of pics on how I have installed some cooling.

The Engine box has since been glassed with a layer of 3/4 oz cloth.
The cowl inlet slot meets the edges of the engine for the head cooling and comes to about half way up the cooling fins (which are quite small on the BME installed).

Note the cowl outlet vents are actually opened. I used some aftermarket vents and cut holes to match them as the original cowl was just a smooth round cowl. I used a couple of the same vents on the end of the canister tunnel.

It all seems to work fine but I haven't hooked my Eagle tree up to it yet to see exactly what it is doing in flight as the plane has only flown twice so far thanks to the powerplant causing it to need a couple of thrust angle adjustments. (looks like I will be ending up with a 29/12 or 30/10 prop on theis baby)

I think you may find he has pulled away from this site due to some people not liking his input on some other threads.

Can't say I blame him if it is so. There are some real D-ckhds out there at the moment who can't see the wood for the trees. Maybe when (if) they manage to get their experience levels to a few years or more they will have changed their ideas by then.

Meanwhile he is "hanging out" at the other place.

I had to laugh at a thread on FG. Jody told a guy how to fix his carb which or course was the correct path to take. Then the guy turns around and questions his advice.
