Default Landing Gear Cuffs

Hi All,
I built a Hurley Extra and would like to add gear cuffs. I am wondering how they are attached to the gear leg. Are the gear legs drilled and tapped to accept a screw to hold the cuff on? Also is fuel tubing used as a cushion between the cuff and the fuselage?

Jim, I always used RTV and just gled them onto the gear leg. I never put them up against the fuse so they would not chaffe through the covering.

Hot glue also works nicely.
