Try to find a Lanier or Godfry kit. I built a Lanier with some lightening mods with a DA 50 and it came out at 15.5 lbs. Great flying airplane.

The Lanier kit built as is comes out pretty heavy and is a bit of a cheesy kit. That being said, replacing the fuse sides with hard balsa and the plastic turtle deck with stringers or a balsa sheeted piece makes a whole different airplane. It was actually designed by Bob Godfrey and many guys swapped out Godfrey parts for Lanier. It takes some work but they end up to be great flying airplanes.
