Default Cleaning solartex?

I cant seem to find the right cleaner for the fuel/exhaust on my plane. Breaking in the engine, so it is a little rich. Windex doesnt seem to work, and although alcohol works better, not much. HELP?

I don't know if you sealed your solartex with clear, but if you didn't,toulene (ironex) works the best without stripping all the die out. It's a little hard to find,I bought mine at Menards.jeffo

Dawn dish detergent in water then use a soft bristle brush to clean the weave. I would recommend a clear coat after you get it cleaned. The clear coat will make it easier to clean in the future.

Yes,,,,

I had a buddy,, built a beautiful aeromaster bipe on floats, took it to Lake Elsinore for the maiden,, picked up a bunch of algae,, the green would never come completely off,, he ended up stripping and recovering the plane,,

They may say you don't need to paint solartex,, but is sure makes it more cleanable if you do.

Just found this thread or I would have posted sooner, try a product called 'Totally Awesome" found in most Family Dollar stores. Only thing I found that would clean the exhaust stains off my DVII.
