Servos for H-9 Sukhoi
I was wondering what servos you guys are running on this airplane? I have ordered 4 Hitech 5645 digitals and I plan to go with a Hitech 605 on the throttle. As for the other 4 servos I have no clue what to get. I want it to be a good servo but the $$ has to be reasonable and I need high torque as well as high speed.

Hi Layne; I am using the 5645s on all control surfaces and futaba s3004's for the throttle and choke. If I ever get this plane finished, I am now running into fit problems on the cowl.

Hey I also have the h-9 sukhoi and I am trying to find the acc. package. Have you found one? If not were is a good place to order all of the linkages and push rods. I am also using Hitech servos not sure of the numbers but they are dig. and have around 130oz torque

I have the H9 cap with 5645's all the way around except for the throttle. They have plenty of torque, and center very well. A freind of mine(with the sukhoi) has 645's on everything, and they work pretty well as well, but I haven't flown it but one time!

Layne
also consider the Futaba S3305. It has great torque at 4.8 or 6 volts and its CHEAP!! Got one at Tower for $35. Only drawback I could see with it is the speed is not the fastest in the world but mine is on the rudder so I dont need it to be speedy.

good luck and lets see some pics when you are done pal

RE: Servos for H-9 Sukhoi
How did you get that servo for $35?? The link you gave me showed $101
P.S.
crash1,
Any wing can drop and go into a spin. The Cap, Extra, you name it if you get it slow enough it will do it (unless its a small UCD type of plane). I was test flying a nice AT-6 one day and when it set up on final it dropped a wing at half throttle and went into a spin, I couldnt get it out so it ended up floating in the pond for a while. I never new a warbird could float so good.

RE: Servos for H-9 Sukhoi
Now its showing $35, man thats weird.
oops, $101 was the price for 3 of them
I might look into these for my rudder system. I am going to be running a 6V battery so the torque would be pretty good. I can get the hitechs at dealers price so the digis are only $12 more than the futabas. But it does look like a good servo for the price.
