Hello,

Im on the list for the 35% Yak 54. You can bet to pay more for the Carden and for what is beyond me. John is a stand up guy and has alot of years in the business so Im sure it will be a great bird. My 35% Velox and 81" Velox are excellent planes.

Joe Nall is when I was told Carden was coming out with one from one of their inner circle and it didnt seem like it was much of a secret then.

OK, thanks. I like my Carden edge so I may have to get the YAK. We shall see becuase I've got my eye on the extreme flight 100cc Yak anyway.

Carden Yak? 35% or 40%. Knowing Carden it'll be a 40 to start.

I just spoke to DENNIS this Tuesday and he was telling me about the YAK, but I can not say anything right now.... It is coming and you can be guaranteed it will have the quality that ONLY CARDEN can supply.

John at AeroTech will have them both around the same time in the next month or two. He also includes the toption of having them built for you at his shop by his guys, they do incredible work and you don't spend 1500-2g more than a pro builder would charge to get the same level of work.

Hello,

I know this will spark something, but what in the world does Carden do quality wise that is so much above anyone else? I bulit a 35% Edge for a friend and IMO its 70% a scratch build kit that is more money than anyone else. I have built many other kits in the same class that fly just as well if not better have more done for you in the kit either CNC or laser cut parts, take less time to build and are just as tough. I understand what people like, but in todays market you can't tell me they have some sort of edge in quality or performance wise. Now with that said its my opinon only so remember that when responding. My opinion is not different than any other posts.

Regards

I'd rather have the CA 3.3m YAk because by the time you had your professionaly built CArden you could have had an even lighter and bigger plane liek the Composite ARF!!!IMO

By the way, Maverick, how many giant scale aerobatic planes have you owned? As freely as you dispense advice I would guess quite a few.

By the looks of my friends 3.3m YAK and the price he paid to have his Carden Edge built he even liked the COMP ARFs better.

Some of us enjoy building planes and builders fee's are not an issue. I think the more options we have the better..Bring on the YAKS, the more the better walt

Just spoke with Dennis.. more details..

37% Yak-54.. It's roughly the same size as the Extra. It's going to be awhile before it's ready though..

/sigh.. just another airplane I'll have to have in my trailer.

yeah i was told it would be ready this fall for winter building...i looked at aerotechs, but personally i am not impressed with there ouyline if scale aircraft....there Velox looks nothing like the full scale, there Edges arent bad,but there Extra's look alittle off too.I have had Craden 40% Extra and must say that was the best flying plane i have had,i currently have a 2.6 CA Yak,i havent flown yet....but i am pretty sure i am going with the Carden Yak over the 3.3 CA Yak...for the winter project.I will keep an eye out on Aerotechs Yak,If it looks good,it may be a possibility....decisions,decisions

Hello,

Why didnt you also Say Cardens Extra is nothing like the scale plane, neither is Comp ARF, 3W etc. Also I have a 35% Velox and its almost dead on from the scale plane. I have the three views and pictures of the Velox from there website. Cant comment on the Extra. Also if you look real hard the Aerotech Yak is the outline of the full scale YAK unlike some others. I have a 35% Aerotech Yak on order for the second run in November. Should be a great build.

sorry,i didnt mean to step on any toes...i personally dont care for the Velox by Aerotech, and yes,the Carden is stand offish as well....i used to kid my buddy who had one, before i got mine, that it is an Edge 540 fuse with Extra's wing....the 3W Extra,i think looks the best. But i didnt care for some of the flight characteristics, just my oppinion.
