I was wondering if you could let me know where you purchased that nice velcro that you used to secure a lot of your components.

Thanks

Vince
The velcro came from Home Depot, they sell it for tying up extention cords and stuff. I think they have it pretty much anywhere, wal-mart, lowe's, meijer, target, etc.

Thanks for the compliments

No love on the big pictures though.

The love is coming.

Drew is in Vegas with his job right now. Unfortunately, he is the one who will have to fix it. I know next to nothing about admining the gallery to make the pics work.
I talked to him about an hour ago and he said he will get to a computer ASAP to fix it.

Thank you for the information on the instrument package and also the nice pilot figures. Your detail work is really nice on your Yak. I was wondering if you could let me know where you purchased that nice velcro that you used to secure a lot of your components.

Thanks

Vince
Home depot or Lowes. They have 10,15, and 23 inch lengths.

Yes.
That was Jason Noll's plane from last season.
I bought it from him a few months back.

Chris and Russell flew it and wanted me to leave it with them.

I uploaded 159 pictures to my gallery. I tried to choose the best of the shots as I didnt have the energy to resize 615 stills.

Wayne, you are supposed to sell it to me next year fool....you can make a bad flying plane fly good.....no need to start off with a good flying plane.

Well, what is the verdict? Which pipe is best, the KS, or the standard pipe for the DA 50? I have both, so I want to know which one is best before I get my plane.

Nice shots guys!

Hey, anyone here from Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska or that area??? I think these states would be a good place to have a "getogether". I would love to go to a field where I can experience sea-level or near sea level performance with this plane, and would be willing to drive a few hundred miles or so to do it...

Hey Wayne,

We're going down memory lane now? The 70's? Chicago? Beautiful flying though!

Talked to Chris today, and mine will be shipped this week. Needless to say, I can't wait.

Below is how my plane will be equipped!

DA 50R
KS 1060 pipe or stock pipe
Fromeco power
Hitec 5945's and 5955(rudder)
SWB control arms
JR chargeswitches
Futaba 149DP receiver

Wayne, awesome video...gave me a good set of chills watching it! Man you are getting comfortable with that thing, incredible! You make it look too easy!

That ATL trip sure looked like a class act and the camping looked pretty primitive so i'm glad you all survived.

Been out of town a few days and got home only to see a box in the dining room, gave it a quik look and held my breath when i noticed a nasty 3 sided slash deep into the outer box whcih actually was duplicated on the inner box as well. Greatfully there appears to be no major damage visible to the plane. The box looked like it took a direct hit from one of those Roman things the Gladiators used to swing at each other, the one called a trundgeon (i think?)

Reference the following quote from Illinois...we must have had the same driver!

"I panicked when the FEDEX guy took the second Yak offf the truck. The box was severely dented and brutalized. I tore it open if front of him to check it out. It was OK."

To the fellow who indicated that he had a hard time installing the SWB rudder arm, Scott (from SWB) indicated that you could simply use a flat bladed screw driver to "spread" the arm slightly and draw it back together with the locking screws (not much spreading force required so go slow)

Maudib, did you get your Yak airborne yet?

Nope, but it's ready to go... we just got hit with another little snow squall, but this too shall pass...

I had two more Yak's show up today! Tee Hee... but one is my best friend's and the other is another buddy's from our club.

The next break in the weather we get I'll be flying my Yak... Wayne's video just has me droolin' at the slow speed characteristics...
