No, I'm not new. There is nothing we can do about the supply of the EF Yaks. So why complain? Chris will tell us what's going on when he is ready.

Am I to conclude then that "NO RESPONSE" is better than "ANY" response unless it can be throughly thought out and measured. Isn't that exactly what we've been getting for the last year? I double post my response above. Get real...........................COMMUNICATION

Like I said the reply in the e-mail was spot on. And also like i said there are reasons. My post was to try and give you some understanding and placate you. Cut the guy some slack and chill you will get a response and it will no doubt emulate that which was in the mail.

Can anyone comment on the similarities and differances with QQ's and Chris' plane? It makes me wonder if they just cut a better deal with QQ and switched to his covering or something. Chris has been trying to get planes delivered for a lot longer than QQ it seems so QQ must have an edge that Chris doesn't.
BB,

The construction on the two planes is pretty much exactly the same. The difference between the two is in the lines of the planes. QQ's plane is a little narrower than the EF and there are some other cosmetic differences. By themselves you'd think one could be the other. Next to eachother you can see the differences. I had the chance to fly a buddies QQ Yak a few weeks ago and other than some set up issues on this particular plane it flew awesome. I dont think anyone can honestly say that one flies better than the other.
It is possible to have two great flying planes on the market in the same class.

The "edge" you refer to that QQ must have over EF with the factory is purely a money and number of order issue. Right or wrong, the factory decided to do QQ's stuff before the stuff they had promised to Chris. Great for QQ. Not so great for EF.

Chris has never let a set back deter him from producing the planes we all want to fly. The fatory in Malaysia is going to be a great thing and without going into a lot of detail about whats coming all I will say is that there will be stuff that blows people away.

I see the point that people want these planes and get upset when they are not available. But there has been plenty of info available regarding the status of these planes....not good news if you wanted to get one this year but there has been news.

Rather than get upset and bad mouth Chris, why not just be patient and wait until he gets the issues resolved? There are other planes available in the meantime that will certainly fly very well (eg QQ Yak) and if when Chris resolves things then you can go back and see what he has.

Chris was the innovator in ARF designs and unfortunately the imitators have had more luck getting planes built. I have so far owned the Edge profile and the Electric Yak and found the quality to be excellent and the stuff was to my door right away. I look forward to him getting more stuff to market but in the meantime I think I can find plenty out there to fly. Some guys spend so much time complaining about the waiting time on ARF's that you could have built 3 or 4 big kits in that time....

What Mail? I've seen no mail. I haven't ordered a Yak from Chris, although I have no doubt they are first class. I already have an 87" YAK, and I have flown my brothers plane, (which was Chris's, personal original Yak) and bought directly from Chris. I know Chris! I like him very much and I'm proud he has built the reputation for building an aircraft that anyone would be proud to own. An on top of that....... He's from GA. and so am I. I live just a few miles from him. But I don't care how you slice it, The customer base should always be kept informed of what plans the company is undertaking and the statis of impending shipments. If one can't do it publicly, Then at least leave a message on the answering machine to advise us of delays, ect. That's why we have answering machines. Just put a message on the stupid thing and we want have to wait for someone to tell us they had an email from Chris.

Talked with Chris today. He is back and he has had his plate full since coming back. He will get to your emails and will be on this thread soon, in fact he was hoping to get on here today.

How Exactly do you guys get in line for one of these Yaks. By email, Website? I never saw any button to do this, on any of his planes.

I would like to know if the 107" is still on the list to be built. I won't be dropping off that list anytime soon. If all looks well in Malaysia , maybe we might see that giant EF Yak......I am not buying or building any substitutes for it.

Put me down for another 87 while your at it too.......

Anyone want a 68" EF??....I have one I would part with to a crash victim.

We are at Deja VU level 2 , we were talking like this last year ....same Bat Channel, Same Bat time.........Deja Vu. Ahhh.....the wait for something sweet.

Well, funds are running short on a couple other projects, so I gotta let her go. It's the EF 87" Yak with TNT landing gear. Equipment is as follows:
DA-50 (updated version)
stock muffler
PeteModels CF spinner
3 props (menz22X10, BME22X8, MSC23X8)
Smart-fly ignition cutoff
Fromeco 2400 w/smartfly reg for ignition
Fromeco 4800 w/ fromeco reg for Rx
JR 9ch PCM receiver (649, I think)
4-5945's with SWB servo arms
1-5245MG digital mini for throttle
1-8611 with SWB arm for rudder
. There is over $2500 worth of stuff here, all purchased brand new.
I will let it go for $2000, turnkey (just add crystal, unless you happen to be on ch 29)
I am also willing to part out, but only the plane and/or engine, and the plane must go first:
Plane only (will include the 8611 rudder servo and SWB arm and all extensions in the fuse) $675
Engine, muffler, and ignition (with standoffs) $600
PRICE INCLUDES GETTING IT TO YOU. I WILL DRIVE UP TO 200 MILES TO HAND DELIVER OR MEET YOU, WHICH I PREFER, OR SHIP AS A LAST RESORT.
I am in colorado springs. I prefer money order or paypal (add 2% to cover surcharge), prepaid.

Wow,
What other project could be more impotant than the Extreme Flight Yak 54! It is the most rare Yak 54 out there, just having it at the field will put you at the top of the list. I know how it is bro money dont grow on trees, we all have to make sacrifices. I bet you guys this plane is probably the fastest selling plane out there. Good Luck with your other projects. Just out of Curiousity what other planes do you have and that are on the working bench.

No dis-respect meant..... but it struck me kind of funny when you said the "Extreem" Flight Yak is the fastest selling plane out there. The reason being I find it humorous is because they'er not selling at all because none are available and probably won't be for quite a while. I don't deny that the "YAK 54," is the fastest selling plane because they are super flying airplanes. I have one myself, but not the Extreem Yak. I would have one of Chris's, but there have been too many missed shipping dates. In any case, The Yak 54, is an excellent flying aircraft, and I don't think you'll find a better flying airplane for "IMAC" or "3D"

Unless of course you get a 40% Comp ARF. Maybe if you qualified that statement by saying "in the 50cc class" but then again you'd have to include the QQ.

Gasser Flyers' comments really take the cake though and show the bias of the people in this thread and/or the quality of the plane that promotes such loyalty. Either way, he's way over the top.

I am going a bit bigger and may be getting into IMAC and like the smoother running twins. I have a 34% that I am working on, and I also need the $$ to get a smaller plane into the air and buy an engine for another one.
