I think the 100cc will be an Extra but the 50cc might be something with two wings. Remember, Mike Hall is the king of the M12 and I've seen a few other models from the aerolock model days.
Psssst.... It's a Yak

I think that the China factory still makes the electric planes and Malasia will make the 50cc and up.

I'm just wondering about the plant in Malaysia. Something is missing. I remember a post from Chris last winter saying he was going to Malaysia and was going to supervise the building of his new plane, If I'm not mistaken he said he would not return until the plane was finished. I believe that was supposed to be last spring. This plane is missing.

If you go back and look at the planes pictured from the factory tour (several pages back by now I'm sure) Mike Hall was showing them how to make a mold for a canopy. Take a look - it looks like a 100cc size ***** canopy to me. Aerolock had several models designed that never made it to production before he closed down. A couple of ***** that I know of a few other things that I'll not discuss. He did do a rather impressive electric Edge 540 for his last time at SEFF that was the most amazing plane that I've saw.

It's no secret that there was an Electric Edge 540 prototype taken to a fly-in by Chris... and likely at lest one of the new electric designs coming from the "e-factory".

It's true that Chis' dedicated factory has dealt with it's own delays in tooling up.... laser cutters, glasswork, etc has taken more time to put in place than expected. And exactly why he hasn't announced any planes to this point. When he know's he has them coming... he'll announce.

Still, there are indeed new planes coming. He mentioned in a recent e-mail to me "Lots of new plane to test fly" meaning that there are planes BEYOND those that are "in the can and ready for mass production.

I'm hoping we'll see something new by the end of the year or shortly thereafter in time to build for spring.

Hey it's all good whatever models they are... based on some video of a prototype I saw, it's got everything the 87" Yak had and then some.

Awesome things coming guys... count on it.

It's a 90" Extra 300 for 50cc, w/ tuned pipe tunnel. It will be the hottest 50cc for 2007![8D]

Who cares, whatever it is it will be a great plane.

I have wanted a 50cc Pitts-12 since the day I flew a AEROLOCK Pitts-12. We have sinced copied the plane (because Mike didn;t have anymore kits) and scratch built a few.

But, since I was told the 50cc wasn't a Pitts-12, I went ahead and got on Aerotech's list.

If I was misled, fine, I still want one, Mike Hall's Pitts-12 is awesome. His large size never went into production, and you can bank on it coming from EF....just not sure when , because of all the secrecy and such.

And it is best this way, IMO. You can;t show your "hand" in this business, the copycats are everywhere.

The 107" Yak from EF has been a dream for many of us, and someday it will be here too.

Bank on it. I have.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about copycats. There is really only a handfull of desirable scale/3D planes out there. Extras, Yaks, Sukhois, edges, pitts, ultimates, caps... They have all been done to death for years. These planes are not a secret, they are everywhere. If somebody makes one today, are they a copycat, or is the person that copies the copycat the only real copycat. And what about the copycat that copied the copycat that copied the copycat, what do we call this guy?

hey, copycats, smoppycats....you know what I mean. Some of the "other" Yaks are mighty close to the EF.

EF is a trendsetter, IMO. If history taught us anything.
