Ummm... justa couple posts above state 230... add to that the 20 air shipped and there's about 250 Yaks in the U.S. already sold... Looks like a Lotto as to whether there will be a couple of those available.

The only reason someone may get lucky is if someone cancels due to financial capabilities or there was a counting error.

For those of you who just ordered in the past few weeks (and even days) I wish you the best of luck on getting a one from this batch... but if not you're only looking at 3 more months and plenty of time to get it built anf flown most of the season.

Also keep in mind that the vast majority of Yak recipients have been waiting as much as TWO YEARS for their Yak... and noone more anxious to get them in their hands than Chris.

I think we will be seeing some posts perhaps even today of peopl egetting their Yak's...

As I said...the murmor is about to breakout into a deafening hurray! You simply will NOT believe your eyes.

I don't know if it was posted before but how many Yak's are in this current shipment?

Got off the phone with them, too. LISTEN UP!!!!! If you were a slacker like me and Chris took down your contact info and maybe even your credit card info, but NOT a deposit, you are on a waiting list. He (well, the nice lady) said that once he takes care of the people with money already invested, he will start going down the waiting list if there are any left over. In other words, don't call on a daily basis. Let the lucky ones get their planes first. I will wait patiently[:@] If I have to wait til next shipment, I guess I will start assembling my funtana, although I was hoping to gather enough money together to do an e-conversion with it, but a YS 110 will suffice!

It sure is... but the sad part is... the profits he is making from this batch are likely to only offet the losses from the first manufacturer fiasco.

I can't say how much I respect the man for sticking with it... THEN to bring such a fine line of aircraft to us.

I have the motor on the way and the yak is coming....now just need to convince the wife that I need another $175.00 for batteries, $450.00 for servos, and some additional SWB control horns....

Oh yeah, I also need another set of Lion batteries for my other plane ($175.00) and some more servos for a small glow plane ($50)

Isn't it Christmas yet?

OK and now for the most mundane question on the thread: to those who have built, which side required weight for lateral balance and about how much if any?

Some of the above posts remind of an old saying; "If i had some bacon, i could could have some bacon and eggs, if i had some eggs."....but i understand your needs....especially if you live in warmer climes..........

Lateral Balance [sm=lol.gif] Mine required ZERO adjustment. Hung it from the ceiling in my basement and wing tips were less than ¼ inch difference off the floor. [8D] [8D]

Hmmm...I had just laid down to go to sleep (I work nights), and right as I started to drift off, the phone rang. I'm pretty sure it was Chris at EF and I think I gave him the OK to bill my credit card for the Yak and spinner, as he said that he would be able to ship me one from this shipment. Was it a dream? Am I going crazy? I called the CC company and it doesn't show a charge from EF yet...must have been a dream--it would be too cool to get such good news, especially just two days before my birthday!! I guess I will wait and see if a Fedex truck arrives at my door in a week or so[]

It seems that there is a huge number of these Yaks headed for the midwest. We ought to get together for a Yak fest this summer!
I'm going to call Chris and give him the OK to charge it now.

Visited Chris yesterday and he was surrounded by 230 YAKs! I actually touched mine and tried to get it into my car but the box wouldn't fit. I left with a spinner, hardware kit and some triangle stock for the firewall plus an instruction book. I'll be back this week to pick up the box. It looks great and many thanks to Chris for pulling this off. He has worked very hard to make this happen and he has given us a great airplane! He looked tired yesterday getting all the boxes ready to ship out to you guys - FedX or UPS was coming.

Congratulations Chris and Thanks!! Look forward to flying with you soon.

It Is A Great Day here in Oklahoma City!

The Stork dropped off my YAK Today.

I unboxed it and when I left the house to return to work, the YAK, DA, JR 8611's and all the Hardware were having a cool one and talking about some serious 3-D!

I am about to leave work and go join the party!

Hopefully the addditional hardware box (tank, wheels) will also arrive today.

It is building time here in Oklahoma City!

Thanks Chris, I am proud to be one of the "Lucky 230"!

Scott, just give him the okay to bill the remainder of the charge to your account.

Scott...not to worry, call the number and leave your CC# on the voice mail and follow that up with an e-mail but do not include your card number in the e-mail....simply reference your phone call. Doing it this way will cover your bases and voice mail works 24/7.
