Well I have seen them in person because the fellow that distributes them flys at the same club I do. They are a really nice looking propeller. Laminated prop out of about 25-27 plys of wood, guessing Maple, Birch or Beech. They are finished in a nice clear coat with white painted tips and are factory balanced. They are a very stiff propeller, when you grab each blade and tray to twist them, they do not twist. I had a 22 X 8 in my hands and there was no play or twisting at all, just like a Mezjlik carbon blade.

As for performance, I have not flown one, however I have seen them on the BME Ultimate, the BME Pitts Challenger as well as the BME Edge 540 and they seem to be fairly quiet and performa fairly well.

Hope this helps.

Which BME props are you asking about. There are the ones BME Engines sells and now I see that BME Aircraft has different line of wooden BME props.I have a 27/10 I got from Keith with my 110 but I haven't had the chance to run it yet.The props on BME aircraft are a better lookin prop not to say they work any better.I'm interested in feedback also on these.

I have a H9 80" CAP w/BME 50 and used a BME 21x8 to break-in and now use a 22x8 to fly. This prop is great, spools up fast, quiet and this combo will hang the plane with no problem. I would recommend these props with no hesitation.

THe prop I was refering to is the one on the BME Engine web site.

I looked at the ones on the Aircraft side, they look real nice too.

That reminds me, I ordered a 22x8 about 2 months ago and never received it. I guess I need to make a call!
