Does anyone know where I can order knobs with a male 1/4x20 threaded stud for mounting wing halves on a 40%? I have always used a socket head bolt for this purpose but have read about others who use a knob that they can hand tighten similar to those that can be found on a Composite. I've checked Home Depot, Lowes, and other local hardware stores but haven't had any luck finding anything. Thanks for any input.

Go back to both Lowes and Home Depot. In the drawer type bins in the hardware departments, they have a selection of knobs that fit over the size bolts you select. You have to buy the bolts and place them into the knobs, but in the end it's all the same.
Quite a few of the smaller hardware department stores and cabinet manufacturing supply locations handle them also.

Reid tool supply has the knobs that press onto a socket head screw. The part number for the 1/4" screw is SLK-5. [link=https://reidecom.reidtool.com/xephr/qbe/HOMEPAGE]Reid tool website[/link]

Thanks NASHCAT, Reid Tool Company had many variations of 1/4x20 studded knobs. Most of them are less than a $1.00 each and were in stock. Problem solved...

McMaster Carr has knobs that press onto Socket head cap screws (called "Plastic Press-fit Thumb screw heads") or they have thumbscrews with the knob already on them ("Plastic Head Thumb Screws") Different style knobs are available for both. We've used both on machine shop tooling and assembly fixtures.
