Default What Rx would you buy?

Curious to see what you guys might do. I have been flying (2) 1/3 scale models, one with a Futabe 149DP and the other with the 138DP. Both have been using 6.0 volts unregulated with no problems what so ever. I am selling off one of the models to fund a 40% and I plan to run (2) rx on 6.0 volts regulated. Question is what Rx to buy for the second one on the 40%, the 149DP or the 138DP? I'm inclined to buy the 138DP for a few reasons, cheaper, no problems to date, and the security of a second Rx if one does fail. I should mention that each RX will not have more that (5) high-draw digital servos.

The only advantage that I'm aware of is that the 149DP has the DSC connection from your 9 Series Futaba radio. Since your not using all of the available slots for flaps/gear etc, why not stay with the 138DP?

I agree with Dan767, but you should consider whether you will need the additional channels, or be upgrading your transmitter in the future... I buy, sell, and trade a lot of RC gear -- however, I have every receiver I have ever purchased as I know their history...

Yeah, unless you need 9 channels, the 138 will be fine.
